How Some Americans Are Breaking Out of Political Echo Chambers

June 14, 2021 - Wired Magazine ran this article on people who are doing whatever they can to escape their political echo chambers. It got some really interesting responses. I kept seeing on Twitter and other places the perspective that we'll never make progress until we figure out how to teach critical thinking skills to kids. Sounds nice but I don't know - the odds seem stacked against. Like so much of culture discourages people of all ages from thinking for themselves. There was also a common reaction along the lines of "why is this article telling me to make friends with racists." Eh, in my opinion people who think all Republicans are racist need the tools mentioned in the article as much as anyone.
